You applied for the job, thinking you wouldn’t get it anyways. With no family, no plans for the near future and a hell of a lot of student loans to pay back, you couldn’t see why not to try.
You got offered the job a couple of days later, so off you go to education and health checks - where you meet and befriend the 4 other “bunnies”, as you will all become, each going to different bases. But when you get assigned to a group, it’s much different than the others’.

Summary
Inspired by Borne of Caution, by Fuggman.
I was asleep for the end of the world.
Not as in, it happened without me noticing, but rather, when the reality of nuclear Armageddon sunk in, I decided I would rather die in my sleep.
I expected to have some sort of reaction besides falling asleep — something like what I'd read about once, where as the feeling slipped away from my limbs I suddenly wanted to live more than anything, or something. But no, all I could feel was relief that I wouldn't have to experience any screaming, or feel myself atomize right before the end.
What surprised me more than the peace I felt was the fact that I woke up.
A Pokemon Journey combining aspects from multiple canons, which I promise is not as dour as the idea of nuclear armageddon implies.

It's during her travels that she keeps finding a bunch of weird kids and ends up having them tag along with her crew. Did she ever expect to become a mom, no. Are the children she keeps finding weird as hell because they're seemingly super strong and smart, yes. Does she care they're weird, fuck no! Her kids are perfectly fine, even if one has wings and one is literally the color red.
