She’s oddly affectionate. This was another recent change, one that came alongside her staying the night. It made complicated swirls unfurl inside Himeko’s chest.
Or: They've spent so many nights together, Himeko no longer knows what their relationship is supposed to mean.

Arlecchino was pretty sure she was a beta, as she’s never presented as any secondary gender in her life. Hasn’t shown any characteristics of any either. She never bothered to get an appointment related to anything like that. She thought it to be futile, since her body most likely worked differently due to her curse.
Who knows, maybe she lacked a secondary gender in the first place because of it?Or: Arlecchino presents as an omega late, in her twenties. She has mixed feelings.
