Summary
For the most part, Yuuji’d been okay with all this. The condemned to die part of his life, at least. He’s always been better off living for someone else, whether for Gramps or his friends or the rest of humanity, so it makes sense that he’ll die for them all too. Sure, he’ll die young, and who knows what all he’ll miss, but that’s all the more reason to live with what he’s got.
The parts he’s not okay with leave him scrubbing blood out from beneath his nails for days, broken and cracked from suddenly growing out too long and too dark in the times when his memory is nothing but a blank.
After Shibuya, Yuuji has nightmares. Watching horror movies late into the night doesn't help with them, but it's better than the alternative.

So, with the sun as his only witness, Izuku wiped his tears once more and took a deep breath. He took his school ID from around his neck with shaking hands, and he dug his wallet out of his pocket to throw it on top, hoping they would at least be able to identify him that way afterward. He followed the path that All Might had taken, all the way to the ledge, and stopped. The wind nearly blew him back from so high up, but Izuku stood firm. Just like All-Might, he thought to himself. He bent his legs, and he jumped.

Summary
He was in relative shelter, conveniently resting underneath a fire escape and avoiding the worst of the rain, but it still made Yuuji realize the situation that he was in. He no longer really cared to fully know if he was alive or dead, in heaven or in hell. All he knew was that he was back in an undestroyed Tokyo, 15 years old in a year when he was supposed to be 3, and stuck in the rain because he was, effectively, homeless.
