Summary
Sonic has been ignoring the warning signs of something wrong until a brutal blow from Shadow during a surprise ambush seems to cut the last of the strings holding him up. As the dust settles and the pain builds, Sonic realizes this isn’t just battle damage, and something is deeply, terrifyingly wrong. Shadow might’ve gone too far to take it back.
They have to answer the question together of whether anything is worth saving.
