Summary
After a mishap with wild magic at Willow’s house, young Amity is offered a chance to prove herself through an apprenticeship in the Emperor’s Coven. Armed with the writings of human martial artist Bruce Lee, she vows to become the strongest abominations witch on the Isles. Under the guidance of her new mentor Lilith, who turns out to be a more caring parental figure than anyone in the Blight family, Amity claims her place at the top of her class. Meanwhile, Luz becomes entangled in a series of strange events back in Gravesfield that no one else seems to take seriously.

Summary
Luz eyes her roommate with a blend of suspicion and confusion. In a way, she really should’ve seen this coming; the flash of green she thought she saw in the café was the first clue that one of her many failed friendships was attending Hexside too, but the pricey room conveniently given to Luz of all people should’ve slapped her in the face immediately.
It takes her a moment to speak, and when she does, her voice is cold and distant.
“Still she/her, yeah?”
Amity mumbles “… yeah.” as a response in an uncharacteristically-small voice.
“Well, who am I to stop you?” Luz mutters as she holds the door open for the other girl.

This has been the worst day of Amity’s life!

Well, it would end, but then it would start again. It was the same day, over and over. Repeated so many times. She would have gone insane by now, if not for the support of her recent friend, Luz. The energetic human was the only one who seemed to believe her, and want to help.

Summary
“So Amity, I know it’s like…” Luz looks at an invisible watch on her wrist, “Late, but you said you haven’t eaten and I was totally on my way to get fast food and if you wanted to come with you’re more than welcome.” Luz smiles, “It’s not too far from here.”
Amity takes a short look at her phone before answering to see a preview of a text from Boscha before responding to Luz faster than she can fully think about the decision, “Yes please.” Amity pushes herself off of the bench and says “Lead the way, Luz.”
