Summary
Sonic didn't know how things were going to work with Shadow being a part of them. He didn't know how everything was going to play out. But he desperately wanted to give Shadow that chance. He did know that Mephiles and him were a pair. If Shadow didn't want the hoglet it was better for him to walk away now.
This was their second chance at life. No one was going to ruin it for them.

Summary
It was supposed to be simple, go in, make a big fuss, get Amy and Tails inside, and leave. Simple, nothing complicated about it.
Only problem? It’s much easier to be who you truly are when you're wearing a mask and going under a new identity, that being the ‘Phantom Rider’.
Without any of his friends there to help or guide him, Sonic is left alone to figure out what's going on with him as he makes a big self-discovery;
It’s much more fun to be the one causing chaos than it is to be the one stopping it.

Summary
"Nothing was happening," Tails grumbles a bit too gloomy for his brother not to notice.
"I can tell by your gleeful demeanor," Sonic retorts.
"Do you even know what those words mean?" Tails asks and rolls his eyes.
"I know a lot of words, I know all of them, actually," Sonic responds and uses his upper body strength to sit up without moving his legs. The hedgehog grabs one of the fox's tails and starts running his fingers through it. Tails only flinches a little when the hedgehog's thumb brushes over the scar at the base, "But that's not the point, you've been acting off ever since you and the kiddos had that talk. They were being nice to you, right?"

Father's Day is on the horizon, and leading up to it, the little fox is faced with questions about the nature of his and Sonic's relationship, as well as his own function in the great story of Sonic The Hedgehog. What he does know is that Sonic is his brother and best friend, nothing else.Tails doesn't want a father, he just wants to find out what Sonic means to him.
