Summary
“Eddie?” Steve breathes.
“Yeah, fuck, hey.”
There are maybe one hundred different things Steve could say to him right now, but all he can think to say is “Your hair?” and Eddie runs a bashful hand across his close cropped head, dropping his eyes to the floor.
There’s a moment—Steve doesn’t know how long—where they just stand facing each other, the first time Steve’s seen him for more than a few minutes in years and he can think of absolutely nothing to say and he should say something really, chief among them what the fuck are you doing here but Eddie, who’s never been one for silences is filling the void with I was fucking balding, man, and I figured I might as well do it on my own terms, you know? When Robin rematerializes beside him, her hand in the crook of his arm.
She says what he couldn’t manage: “Eddie—I didn’t know you knew Noah.”
When she says it, there’s no question in it. It's an accusation.
Why the fuck are you here?

Summary
In 1998, 72.5 million passengers passed through Chicago O'Hare International Airport.
One of them was Steve Harrington. In fact, a lot of them were Steve Harrington. Every Friday, just like clockwork, he strides off flight 303 from JFK to ORD, in his suit and tie, phone plastered to his ear.
Somewhere else in Chicago, Eddie Munson's life is pretty good. He lives with his best friend. He works nights at a bar he loves. No, it's not what he'd imagined his life was gonna be like at thirty-two, because Steve isn't here, and there was a time he couldn't ever imagine living his life without him.
But he has, and it's fine, everything's fine. Honest.
He's accepted it. Fortunately, the universe, and Gareth, have not.
After a chance sighting in that busy airport, Eddie has the chance to try and reconnect with Steve after nearly a decade apart.

It's totally innocent. It's just Steve cleaning the pool.
Eddie, Max and El are just observing.
Can we blame them?

Summary
Out of the line of fire, the tattooed man lifts his hardhat enough to wipe the sweat from his forehead. He smears it with new mud.
Just then, he looks up, catches her eye apropos of nothing. Has the cigarette between two fingers, in and out as he takes a puff.
She frowns, tries to communicate to him that was the dumbest stunt she's ever seen in her life.
Hopper grunts. “You'll learn.” Then, shouting over the railing, “Munson! Snub that goddamn cigarette out. We got company!”
The man in question grins, sends up a two-fingered salute before giving a little bow. Sticks the cigarette back in between his stupid, infuriating smile.
He’s a mess of tattoos, mud, oil, and safety violations—and so damn cocky to boot.
Nancy scoffs.
