Summary
It's 2022 and Hob's got his Stranger back in his life. His Stranger, who's now his friend and who drops by more than once a century. Bloody fantastic, if you ask him.
Though of course, it doesn't last. Dream disappears again; this time to fight the hordes of Hell that have invaded the Dreaming.
Hob could just sit this one out, but hey- That doesn't sound much like him, does it? So he does what any sensible bloke would do, not that he's ever been one: sneaking into the Dreaming, hell-bent on fighting this war on Dream's side, where he belongs.

Summary
When his dear stranger returns after over a hundred years, Hob assumes they will return to their regular routine. Instead, the visits become frequent, more casual, and slowly his friend he now knows is Dream of the Endless opens up to him. He tasks Hob Gadling with an impossible mission: teach Morpheus what it is to be human, how to grow and heal as a human, or else the cracks in The Dreaming may never fully close.
But humanity is complicated. Healing is nonlinear, with many wounds and little sutures, and to grow sometimes means derooting the past. As their connection grows from something centurial and casual to a reccurring pull towards one another, bordering on love, Hob helps Morpheus expose the horrific underbelly of his biggest mistakes and most painful betrayals, happiest days and darkest nights, in order to allow himself the room for something new to blossom in place of the pain.

Summary
When Hell moves against the Endless, it is not the Dreaming the demons aim for, but Desire’s realm instead.
Dream helps fight back the invasion on his sibling's realm, but Lucifer leaves a cursed wound on him in the process. Dream does not know at first what the curse is, but soon he realizes he will need to resolve it soon, or risk the integrity of the Dreaming.
AKA - fuck or die, but less die, and more danger to the collective unconsciousness if it doesn't resolve.

Then he wakes up in a bed at the White Horse tavern, still on the seventh of June, and watches on in confusion as it happens again, and again, and again. Why, and HOW, is it that this night keeps repeating itself, and what must Hob do to make it stop? To make his Stranger stay?

Summary
The last person Dream expects to see in Burgess' basement is Hob Gadling, who has apparently been asked to consult on the restoration of the historic manor. He is pleased when his old acquaintance helps free him without a second thought, despite their past squabble, but he is horrified to realise that breaking the binding circle does nothing to return his powers to him, and that he cannot return to the Dreaming after having been released from his cage.
Weak, confused, and distressingly human, he consents to being taken back to Hob's home to be cared for until he can regain his strength. When he falls asleep that night (which he should never have had need for), he finally finds his way back to his palace, only to find someone else sitting on his throne, wearing his ruby, and claiming his name as her own — Dream of the Endless.
