Summary
“Wait,” she sees Sam gasp behind them, struggling to his feet, “wait!”
The spirit turns, and the hold on Eileen immediately loosens. She falls to the ground, knees buckling, and sucks in gasps of air. Sam appears at her side, hands smoothing over every inch of her. When he finds nothing wrong, he helps her to her feet, hands steadying her by the elbows.
The spirit’s eyes clear, watching them, and it’s only then that Eileen lets Sam take her full weight.
Finally, the spirit—Jess, because it is Jess now—says, “Sam?”
Eight months after they save the world, Eileen meets Jess.

He strides over just in time to see the figure take shape into someone Sam recognizes. She looks exactly the same as Sam remembers: short black hair, a strong build, and a preference for dark clothes. Sam spends the moment before Soledad notices him staring at the side of her face. He doesn’t have to see the whole thing to make out the soft, milky warmth in her eyes as she gazes at Eileen. Her whole body leans toward her, an open parenthesis.
Then she sees Sam, and she tenses like a strung bow.
“Who’s this guy?” she demands.
Four months after they save the world, Sam meets Eileen's ex.

Summary
With the banshee dead, Eileen is aimlessly roaming the country when Sam tips her off to a case. Something appears to be controlling people through songs, and he figures Eileen will be immune. She’s knee-deep in the case when the Winchesters’ angel turns up unexpectedly, being cagey about his motives and suggesting she should keep her distance from Sam.
But whatever – Eileen has a job to do, and she already knows better than to get emotionally involved with other hunters. Especially ones as disarmingly nice to her as Sam.

“I almost feel bad from stealing this moment away from 2009 Castiel,” said Cas although there didn’t seem to be any trace of remorse in his voice.
“I’m sure he’ll understand,” said Dean, breathless. “With it being our last night on earth and all that.”
Cas laughed.
“Are you stealing my lines, Dean?”
Dean couldn’t help but smile back.
“Pretty sure you stole that one from me first.”
“Touchè.”
Then Cas opened his belt and Dean was suddenly out of clever comebacks.
