Yugamu Omokage had always intrigued Takumi. Not in a “I want to learn about him” sense in the same way Nozomi did. More like “I can’t pull myself away from staring at this car crash” sort of way. Which, Takumi admitted, was a little insane.It probably started when Yugamu started calling Takumi “cutie”. His cheeks would redden every time the assassin dropped those words in conversation, no matter how casually. On one too many occasion, Takumi’s train of thought had come to a screeching halt as soon as Yugamu demurely called him cute in the middle of a conversation he was not expecting to be called cute during.

It had been a few days since Eito had been taken from his cage to the infirmary. If Takumi pressed his ear to the door, he could hear strained cries. But he rarely got the chance, as Sirei would come out of nowhere to scold him for snooping. He’d then make a snide remark about Takumi snooping on the girls, which made Takumi roll his eyes as he walked away.
It was weird not stopping by the cage on his way to the cafeteria in the morning. Eito rarely offered much conversation, more so derision and snide comments, but it had almost become routine for Takumi. For the first day, his feet started walking towards the courtyard on instinct.

Eito gets the chance to get out of this miserable cage he’s stuck in. It’s terrible, it’s small, it’s way too open. He gets no privacy, he’s forced to interact with these freakish monsters. His life is hell in the cage, so when his worst enemy comes to him with a solution, he can’t help but grasp at it. Any chance of getting out of this was worth it, even if it was humiliating.
