Summary
The most important lesson Melinda May was ever taught in her life is to give a home, a family, to anyone who needs it. It was a lesson she was taught at two years old when Jiaying, someone who was once incredibly important to her mother, gave that to her after her father’s death when her mother decided that she couldn’t be the mother Melinda needed.
After receiving her empathic gift after going through Terrigenesis at sixteen Melinda knew that she wanted to do more to help, not just her people, but all people. So, with her adoptive mothers blessing and support Melinda left Afterlife, and eventually joined SHIELD, never forgetting the lessons she was taught.
As the years go by Melinda finds herself making a home not just for her biological daughter, but for her five adoptive daughters as well, all while growing her extended family to something she could have never imagined all those nights when she cried in Jiayang’s arms asking why her mother didn’t want her. After the chaotic events that culminated with Daisy moving in with the Avengers, there were of course teething issues. And Trauma issues. But they work it out.
Or: 5 times Daisy disagreed with an Avenger + 1 time they all agreed.

Summary
Skyenet is one of the best hackers in the world, but nobody knew who she was. Tony was determined to change that.
Quake was a small-time local vigilante until she stopped a bank robbery with a new distortion weapon Shield wants and sends Natasha and Clint to acquire.
Daisy was just a teenage jogger until Steve sees bruises on her face and gets concerned.It would have really helped all four Avengers if someone had told them they were all looking for the same person.
In which Jarvis gets a date, Tony gets hacked, Clint goes on a trip down memory lane, Steve stress bakes, certain AIs gain sentience, certain programmers don't sleep, and Daisy doesn't think before she speaks, not necessarily in that order.
I've borrowed a character from Agents of Shield, and it contains spoilers for season 2, but you don't have to have watched Agents of Shield to understand this fic.
