They were usually shadows in the background, working without being seen. They're the ones who made the beds, sweep the floor, and pick up the debris whenever the Famiglia members destroy the Vongola Mansion in friendly fights or even coup d' état. They thought they'd seen it all and they'll continue on to be the shadows of the mansion, but then the Tenth Generation came to live with them and made them all feel like they had an entire Sky and his Weathers to belong.

Kakashi crashed face-first into the hardwood floor, his body felt as though he suffered the worst case of chakra exhaustion to date. But immediately, his eyes snapped open in realization. He wasn't supposed to be lying on a floor. He had been fighting Pein in the attack, and died.So what was he doing on a hardwood floor?
Groggily getting up, his eyes scanned about the room, trying to ascertain his location. His breath hitched. He remembered this room vividly, this was the very same room his father had committed seppuku. Although Kakashi had somehow come to terms with it, waking up in this room wasn't his cup of tea at all. Staggering to the door, he was about to open it when the door slid open.
There, before him, was his younger self, staring up at him with those innocent onyx eyes.
"Dad? Are you okay?"
Kakashi froze. What the fuck?
Or...
Kakashi died in the Pein attack, and woke up in his father's body.

He dies, and when all is said and done in that inky after-death, Father hands him an old scroll, adorned with the Hatake clan symbol and a peculiar looking seal.
“One of my biggest regrets,” Father tells him, “is never getting the chance to introduce you to the clan.”
He wakes up into a valley he’s never seen before, occupied by silver-haired villagers with familiar, dark eyes. As the questions grow darker than the answers, everything Kakashi thought he knew about the Hatake is challenged, as is his hope for ever getting home.
