Oh, he’d fetch Edward alright. His own hysterical laughter reverberated up and down the corridors as the plan knitted itself together in his mind instantly. Perfectamundo! Oswald would rue the day - there was only so far that a man could be pushed, and Oswald had finally succeeded in doing it. Oh, he was going to fetch Edward. He was going to fetch Edward beyond what any man could possibly comprehend. The tale of his fetching Edward would be a cautionary tale that rang throughout the ages. People would speak in hushed whispers of how he fetched Edward.
In one of his most audacious schemes yet, Ed takes on his sworn nemesis (Oswald's dog) the only way he can. Swap bodies with it.

“I don’t trust her.” Ed mutters, wiping at a spot on the bar whilst his eyes are trained on the calculating figure of Ms. Falcone across the room.
“Yeah, me neither,” Victor shrugs back, stepping forward enough that he blocks Sofia from view, “But Penguin said-“
“Oswald is clearly under a lot of stress,” Ed snaps sharply, “He doesn’t have a clear head. Luckily, I do. And I intend to take care of this for his sake.”
(A rewrite of season four, where Ed sticks around after getting out of the ice and Oswald offers him a job at the lounge. Somehow this leads to Ed taking down Sofia Falcone while regaining his intelligence. And maybe if he plays his cards right; winning back Oswald's affections).
