As Chloe sat up in the bed at the hospital, fresh from the x-rays to determine that she hadn’t suffered any bone damage from the bullet that had hit her vest, she heard the whispers from the other officers that the crime scene didn’t make much sense. Sure didn’t. Certainly not nearly as much sense as her agreeing to marry a guy she’d been dating for a month who turned out not only to be a crime boss, but also the world’s first murderer. Not nearly as much sense as falling for a guy who turned out to be Satan.
Chloe cackled maniacally at the remembrance of Ella talking about having a thing for bad boys. Oh, honey…
This is a rewrite of Season 4, starting with the Devil reveal. Kinley, but no Eve, and so much angst for Chloe and Lucifer that you can cut it with a knife.

After waking up in the middle of nowhere, burned, exhausted and with those stupid, useless, feathered appendages on his back, he had no idea why they were back or who knocked him out. But that wasn’t important right now. He wanted to go home. The long forgotten and atrophied muscles screamed when he tried to move the wings more than just to open them or lay them against his back, and even that was painful.
