“It all seems so easy to you,” Aeron hisses but his face flushes at Davos’ almost confession of love. His scent turns sweeter, letting Davos know just how much of an impact those words have on him.
“Why can’t it be?” Davos insists. “You bloody Brackens are the ones that always have to go and complicate things.”

Gwayne laughs.
Daeron does not.
“Yes,” he says in a restrained voice. “Yes. Please.”
Gwayne takes Daeron out for a midnight run.
