Summary
Mensah, Bharadwaj, and Farai are on an expedition to the southern continent of Preservation, studying the effects on the soil microorganisms of an unusual period of extreme cold. Unexpectedly, they find themselves directly in the path of a rare terraforming complication, far beyond the hazards they were expecting to deal with. Can they survive until rescue can get to them?

Summary
A lot of my TMBD fanfiction links together and here I have put them together in a mostly chronological recommended reading list. Most of this is canon-compliant Gen until you get to the Murderathin (MB/Gurathin) stories near the end, after Skulk. That's also where you'll find the only bits out of chronological order, with a couple stories from Gurathin's youth that inform the growing relationship between them.

Summary
AU where Gurathin was a company technician who specialized in repair of constructs who had problems the cubicle couldn't fix. These were primarily mental issues, which is how he got Murderbot, who was not nearly as good at being an undetected rogue as it imagined.
Gurathin freed it but was captured in the process, tortured, and turned into a semi-expendable spy. Murderbot escaped, had Artificial Condition adventures with ART, then returned to find and free Gurathin. It found him, but he was addicted. They made a bargain with Preservation for them to do their best to help him survive the withdrawal.
Mix of book and tv show materials.

Summary
This is the various conlang dialogue Carl Buck and I translated for Paramount+'s Halo, a TV series adaptation of the well-known game series. Sangheili, the language featured in the show, is a language spoken by the Sangheili, as well as generally inside the Covenant, an alien alliance that worships the Halo Array. The language is a lightly inflectional head-final language with distinctive vowel length and ejectives. The language was co-created by myself and Carl—a project which started three years prior (almost to the day) to the series premiere. After the second season aired on Paramount+ the series was canceled.
