Summary
“I hate you” the words are barely a whisper as they left Fadels lips, said in such a sweet and quiet tone that if not for the words said, Style would melt.
Everything stopped. He is sure a pin drop can be heard in the room, is sure the world stopped breathing just as Style had.
Style can’t breathe.
He can’t breathe, he wants to ask Fadel to repeat what he just said, he thinks he might not be hearing him right. This has to be a mistake. Fadel loves me. He’s sure.
“I. Hate. You.” stronger now, as though the moment the words first left Fadels sinful mouth, it gave him the strength to say it louder. His tone was distant now, real, almost clinical, as though he was stating a fact.
Styles world shattered, pieces of him on the ground, he feels a deep ache in his chest, something so sudden, so surreal, so painful he swears the gun must have gone off. He looks down at his chest just to check past the ringing in his ears, he is sure, Fadel shot him and he is hallucinating.
He looks down.
There is no blood.

Summary
This was what Lance was good at, being there for his friends, for people, he believed that even if a lot of bad happened to him, at the very least he got something out of it, he could understand, he could relate to weird difficult situations. Lance was always good at reading people, interacting with them, befriending with them. He likes to think this is just another thing helping him in this department.
For tonight, shiro would get some actual honest to god sleep.
And that’s all that mattered.

Summary
After the Christmas argument about Harry's Firebolt, Hermione decides that she's not putting up with the boys' sulking anymore, and she's going to do something about it. What happens next is a testament to the strong bonds forged through people actually talking to each other, the desperation involved in keeping your best friend alive and in one piece, and the desire to build a better, safer world for him to live in, no matter what the objections from the adults.
In other words, the risk in manipulating things to create child-soldiers is that they will decide that you, too, are also something to protect themselves against.
Revised, Edited, and Rewritten: After a lot of feedback about how the writing got better as this fic went on, I've been taking a break, not just to have the burn-out breakdown from IRL work, but also to rewrite some of the earlier chapters (mostly 1-5) hoping to improve on what was already there, and add things I wish I'd thought of the first time.
Updated So Far: Chapters 1, 2, and 3 - an additional chapter inserted after Chapter 3 - and 4 (which is now Chapter 5, I guess)Series

Summary
Harry doesn’t think much about the Triwizard Tournament beyond being relieved that he won’t have anything to do with it at all. It seems like he might finally have a quiet, peaceful year.
So, of course, his name ends up coming out of the Goblet of Fire despite the fact that he would never in a million years enter this death tournament willingly.
The entire school turns their back on him once more, only this time, he truly feels alone. Is this how it’s always going to be? Year after year of being thrown into life-threatening danger at Hogwarts while surrounded by people who can’t decide whether they love or hate him only to be shunted off to the Dursleys –who certainly aren’t shy about how much they hate him– every summer?
It feels like the fighting never ends. Harry is so, so tired…

Summary
Dr. Strange looks at the world after Thanos and, faced with its seemingly irreparable brokenness, breaks his own oath. Tony, Stephen, and Loki go back in time for one more chance - an intentional choice, because they are each other's insurance against repeating the same mistakes. Tony wakes up shortly before the Stark Expo with the reactor's palladium core still poisoning him. Stephen wakes up with undamaged hands and a flourishing medical career. Loki wakes up in Asgard one day before Thor's coronation.
"Do I dare disturb the universe? / In a minute there is time / for decisions and revisions which a minute will reverse."
[ Yet another take on that time travel fic with lots of worldbuilding, hand-wavey comic book science, political intrigue, inventing, nerding out, and a broken Tony trying to fix a broken world - but this time he's not alone. ]
