    “He’s hurt, isn’t he?” Dazai asks, although it’s not really a question. Chuuya’s gait the other day had been wrong, wrong in a way that wasn’t caused by a night of wonky sleeping or a stubbed toe.

    Kouyou hesitates, but a look at Dazai’s face seems to tell her she’s not going to get away without having this conversation. At least, not if she doesn’t want to alert Chuuya to his presence and get him riled up.
