Summary
My take on Out of Mind (s02e22), imagining what might have happened if Jack had freed Daniel first instead of Sam.
Fresh from cryosleep and still drugged, Daniel follows Jack through a Goa’uld ship they were never meant to be on. Forced to hide together in the dark, pressed close behind a pillar, long-buried feelings surface and change the shape of their relationship in ways neither of them is prepared for.
Back on base, neither of them can forget what happened, and pretending it didn’t mean anything turns out to be impossible.

Summary
The mug flew from her hands, shattering on the tile with a sharp, final sound. Hot coffee splashed over her arms and chest, and she winced as the scolding liquid burned her skin. For a moment, she stayed there, motionless, the broken pieces of the mug scattered around her like jagged little reminders of her clumsiness.
The commotion drew Loudermilk into the kitchen. He took in the sight of Claire sprawled on the floor, the broken mug, and the dark stain spreading across her clothes. His face contorted with rage, but there was something else there too—a flicker of something raw and vulnerable that he quickly masked with anger.
“Jesus Christ, Claire!” Sam’s voice was a growl, his tone sharp enough to cut glass. He stormed over to her, his eyes fixed on the shattered mug. “That was Lizzie’s! Do you know how much that mug meant to her?!”
