A bad feeling.
But… she'd thought that every time that same chill had run up her spine, right?
But each time something terrible happened.
And everyone was gone. Everybody had left, and the only thing she knew was that a few of the others were off to try and reclaim as many of the beacons as possible, but.. what if whatever was taking those beacons from them was dangerous?
What if it was going for them? Drift, Apo, Martyn, Shelby, Legs, Cleo? Not to mention everyone else, they could be in danger. They could be dead.
She'd made up her mind the second she took the feeling seriously. ~

WD wiped the soot from her face and prayed her eyebrows were mostly intact, hands shaking and burnt as the charred metal that was suppose to be her invention lay smouldering on the ground.
She should've been used to this kind of failure— but it always stung just as much as the first time.
With a hefty sigh she slumped onto the nearest stool of the workshop, eyes closed as she leaned forward and roughly massaged at her temple, tail fluffed and ears flat against her head as WD tried to calm down.
It was stupid— getting worked up other yet another failed creation was a waste of time, why does she bother trying? It'll always work out the same way.
She should really just give it up, focus all her energy on repairing shit and dealing with the dirty work, it'd be far easier in the long run. That horrid pang in her chest every time something she created fell apart wouldn't strike again.
Her eyes stung.

Hm. That was odd.
There was something about Jaguar Joe that was making it far harder for them to see him, one moment right next to him and the next a good few feet away— and such a problem made keeping him hidden a task and a half.
Especially as he was currently writhing on the floor and screaming about demons being released, and rats.

She saw him looking up at her, his face covered in dirt and blood, dangling over the deepest depths of the underworld with a single hand. "Nico-" He shouted, looking straight at the boy, "Nico, the other side! I'll meet you there, got it?"
"But-"
"Lead them there! Promise me!"
"I- I promise." Nico's face was pale and gaunt, the young boy painfully aware of how little could be done in this moment, and what was about to happen.
Percy turned back to Annabeth, his eyes boring straight into her own like he was trying to make sure he could never forget her face. "Annabeth.. I'm sorry."
It was like all the air had been sucked from her lungs, as she realised what he was about to do- and that no plan could be devised to prevent what was going to happen.
"Percy- don't do this, there has to be another way!"
