Summary
Eli and the gang are just getting over their fight for the elementals, Doctor Black's return and finding and losing Eli's father in the same hour.
Now they're on a simple mission to find smuggled slugs and return them home.
At least, it was simple until they're attacked, Junjie gets lost and captured to be sold as the smuggler's next big catch and Eli is just ever so slightly angry at the way the universe seemed to be out to get him these last few weeks.
Still, he refuses to let the universe win. Never let it be said that Eli didn't fight for what was his, and that was his team. And that included Junjie.
Along the way, Junjie learns that maybe, just maybe, he has a place to call home so far away from his own home. -

It's actually not dark, I promise. I just thought the title was hilarious.
Jim makes a bet against Bones that he can't hypo-spray him on the Bridge if he doesn't get injured for a month. He left out a few key details and now it's an ongoing fight to see who reaches the Bridge first.
Jim may have won the bet, but Bones hasn't been keeping alive for years without some... constructive ways.
