Summary
Dazai was not actually surprised when he looked down after a coughing fit and found his palm covered in blood and flower petals. In fact, he felt something like relief, having wondered for so long if what he felt was actually love. To know that it was, and that he, of all people, was capable of it almost made up for the raw, painful feeling in his chest and throat.
The sense of comfort he thought would accompany his now inevitable death was strangely absent, but Dazai assumed it would come in time.

"How do you bastards know...," Bakugou began. Then he paused, disgusted by his own burning need to even ask this question. But he was too drunk now, and that reality made him less proud, less self-possessed. So he finished the dreaded query. "...that asshole Shindou is fucking Izuku?"
"Oh, we can't be sure," Monoma replied smarmily. "I tend to imagine Shindou on top, but it's entirely possible that Midoriya is fucking him."
"Huh?" The new image was even more alarming than the one already haunting his mind.
"Then again, it's difficult to imagine our sweet little Izuku Midoriya even having a cock, never mind fucking someone with it."
"You don't know the first thing about Izuku, you lousy scumbag," he growled.
"So protective... makes me wonder, honestly. Is it because you wish you were the one doing the fucking... or perhaps, the one getting fucked... by your childhood friend?"
"I'll kill you, you shitty bastard." Bakugou felt the flickering in his palms. He was on the verge of being completely out of control.

Summary
The cures for Hanahaki Disease are equally abysmal. Get surgery that will wipe out all memories of the person he’s in love with, or confess and if that person reciprocates, he’ll live. But if they don’t? Tough luck, and you’d best consign yourself to a long, drawn out death.
And the worst part is? Dazai knows exactly who it’s for.
He will never ever tell the chibi; he’d like to keep his pride if he’s dying anyways. Besides, while Chuuya would never reciprocate, he probably would feel either guilty or annoyed that Dazai is dying because of him, but not at his hand. So yeah, while he’d rather die than admit it (and boy will he ever die because of it now), in the interior of his mind, he’s not going to try and delude himself.
It’s Chuuya. It’s always been Chuuya.
“So either I get surgery, and forget all memories of the slug. Or I die a slow and excruciating death. How fantastic.” Dazai mutters under his breath.
OR
In which Dazai contracts Hanahaki Disease for Chuuya and is determined to let it kill him rather than get it removed (and is painfully oblivious to Chuuya’s affection for him).
