After the spider bite, Peter felt himself facing a lot more bodily changes than just super-strength, agility and enhanced senses. No, he also found himself with a lot more - spinnerets, the ability to detect pheromones, fangs, and venom.
His hunger has been building ever since that fateful day, as much as he's tried to hide it. After landing himself in a relationship with one Wade Wilson, his hunger is becoming almost unavoidable.
Wade notices. Of course he does.
And to Peter's mild surprise, he offers to help.

As the demon spoke, Wade felt it slither out of the fire-blackened pit within him where it lived. The hole that was singed with fraud and corruption, rotting with old anger and loss, putrid with self-loathing. The dead pool of a place that the Malebranche had found, recognized as home, and crawled into, all those years ago.
It’s the roaring 20s, but in the small upstate New York hamlet of Middle Grove it sounds more like a snore. Peter Parker grew up in the Methodist church there, raised to follow his uncle and grandfather into the ministry. Preaching the word to a restless flock and trying to write for the local newspaper, Peter has little time left to himself and his own ambitions.
Then a traveling snake-oil salesman rolls into town. This smooth-talking man with the scars covering his body seems to actually be helping people, somehow. Is it the sweet soda water he's hocking as medicine? Or is something deeper going on, something that defies both the religion Peter grew up in and the science he's adopted? Mr. Wilson’s sideways glances and joking innuendos are infuriating. And captivating. Peter needs to learn his secrets, but the journey to knowledge will take him down a dark path.

“Ooooh, shiny,” Wade said, eyes widening with glee. He lunged forward, katanas at the ready. “Let’s see if it bleeds!”
“Deadpool, wait—” Spider-Man and Johnny shouted in unison, but it was too late. Deadpool’s blades sliced through the plant, and for a moment, everything was still. Then, with a deafening pop, the plant exploded, showering the trio in a cascade of sticky, pink goo.
“Oh, fantastic,” Johnny muttered, wiping the goo from his face.
Wade sucked in a breathed. “Smells like...cherry cola. And burning. And—” His eyes widened, a slow, mischievous grin spreading across his face. “Uh-oh.”
“Uh-oh?” Peter echoed, his spider-sense still buzzing. “‘Pool, what do you mean ‘uh-oh’?”
Before Deadpool could respond, Johnny groaned, pressing a hand to his forehead. “I feel... weird. I’m covered in goo and now I feel weird.”
“Oh no. Oh no, no, no.” Peter’s breath hitched as a strange warmth spread through his own body. “This is bad. This is very bad.”
