The feeling rolled over him like static, fuzzy in his limbs and buzzing beneath his skin. He had escaped. It was the obvious conclusion— supported by his surroundings, even if not by recent memory. His gaze travelled across the room, at the technology that was so far from human. Then, to the button beside him, red and labeled clearly.
