Early in that fateful night in which Claudia drives her knife into the heart of her maker, before he could ever conceive of such a plan, he invites his dear Louis with him to visit his musician friend. Lestat has always been quite persuasive.

    OR: An alternative scenario to Lestat's "Read your damn poems, then! Rot!" in which he is more persistent in requesting Louis' accompaniment. A dance is initiated, as well as an epiphany. Though, as it seems, the latter has come too late.
