    Every ten years, the Dragon descends into the village and chooses a sacrifice. The last time he’d chosen one, Keigo had been ten years old. A girl with purple and pink hair and a smile wide and sharp enough to cut had disappeared through the city gates and never been seen again. Keigo only knew her through the Commission, an older operative who taught him in the few years before she’d been taken.     Writing a narrative to try and cope with the damage inflicted emotionally, Touya shares the details of his personal life with his audience. Taking place three hundred years prior, the story follows Touya Todoroki, the current reigning king of vampires. Locked into traditional values, Touya never thought he'd submit to a mortal. Why would he? He was superior to mortals in every way. Logically, mortals should submit to him.
    However, when circumstances formed due to poor leadership directs Touya to the right hand of human king Keigo Takami, his emotions betray him. Forming a new relationship, an unfamiliar relationship, with Keigo, unapologetically led Touya to a happy end that he'd been seeking for years...or so he thought. When Keigo shares with Touya heart wrenching news, how does the immortal vampire react? Can Touya alter the fate bound to the mortal king in time?
