There's an ache in the center of his chest, and he can't tell if it's from the lack of oxygen or if it's an empty space that can only be filled by the people he left behind. "I'm doing the right thing."

Manchmal fühlte es sich so an, als ginge es nicht mit Peter. Aber ohne ihn ging es noch viel weniger. Bob musste nur lernen, die Nähe, die früher zwischen ihnen existiert hatte, zuzulassen, ohne dabei jedes Mal ein gebrochenes Herz zu riskieren.

Eigentlich hat Bob sich auf einen ruhigen, wenn auch etwas einsamen Sommer eingestellt. Doch erstens kommt es anders und zweitens als man denkt, und so findet er sich kurz nach Beginn der Semesterferien mitten in der nordkalifornischen Wildnis als Sommercampbetreuer für eine Horde Pre-Teens wieder. Als wäre das nicht schon anstrengend genug, geht es im Camp scheinbar nicht mit rechten Dingen zu.
