Natasha Romanoff stood in the helicarrier. The shield headquarters, the one her old organization had vowed to take down. That was not her mission, her mission was to find what had been lost. She would, after all she is the black widow. One doesn’t become a master assassin, one feared by many without becoming good at finding.
Peter Parker is sixteen. He works at sister Margret's. He spend most of his day as spider-man, avoiding his past. Peter has many regrets in life. Not stopping the robber who killed his uncle, befriending Wade, stabbing that guy when he was five who turned out to be his trainer. But his biggest regret right now was somehow getting in SHIELD’s radar.
As one thing leads to another Peter's past is slowly creeping up on him and he doesn’t know that yet.
Nick Fury is on a mission to assemble a team of younger heros The Ultimates.

Post episode after ‘the avenging spider-man .’ where Loki tries to ruin peters relationship with the world and the avengers, the team of banded heroes finally dig into what exactly venom is, only problem?
Fury hasn’t told them the direct source is their new roommate who also happens to be fifteen years old and has extreme trust issues when it comes to revealing his identity.
Thankfully he doesn’t have to do that, the not so lucky part? they find out about carnage and make it their mission to protect peter parker from Norman Osborn (now that green goblin is back).

Summary
Set in between seasons one and two of USM. After a seemingly normal mission, Spiderman is kidnapped in the heat of battle, leaving the team to scramble after any clues. By the time they figure out the location, Doctor Octopus is long gone, leaving behind the corpse of everyone's favorite Spiderman. Understandably, the team is upset.
(In which Otto figures out the Spider-clones months before he does in canon, and our heroes have to deal with the consequences.)
