“I know what you are,” says Shi Wudu.
Immediately, He Xuan falls still. What? How did he find out? Hundreds of years of planning, each word and action carefully crafted…was it Hua Cheng? Did he sell him out? He’d only do that if Shi Wudu had information on that crown prince he’s so obsessed with, but there’s no way, right?
“You,” Shi Wudu leans forward, resting his chin on his folded hands. The entire world around him goes still, and He Xuan’s eyes fall gently closed. “You’re in love with Qingxuan, aren’t you?”
Silence.
He Xuan’s head snaps up. “What?”
