Summary
Hanahaki disease is a trick of the mind, as much as it requires honest reciprocation. If the afflicted can’t bring themselves to believe their affection is returned, surgery is the only option.
It’s just a fact: the grass is green, the sky is blue, Kacchan doesn’t love him. Izuku has accepted this. And he’s blessed that Kacchan has grown to care about him for some reason, to even like him, but that doesn’t mean he feels the same way that Izuku does.
“I know what you’re trying to do,” he says slowly, feeling as though the words are being dragged out of him, “but you heard Recovery Girl earlier. It... it needs to be true.”

Summary
Katsuki knew that for all of Deku’s self-consciousness and doubts and anxiety, the two things within his control that he’d always had absolute belief in was one, to be a hero, and two, admire Bakugou Katsuki. He was probably the only one in the world who could have taken the weight of that admiration, and it says something that it still took him this long to accept it.
“But you were always going to be in my life. Constant pain in the ass, but. You always meant something to me.” A large part negative, a large part revelatory, always inevitable.
Or:
Katsuki might never understand Deku, but he'll always know him. And loving him was just a matter of growing up.

Summary
Deku was on his usual patrol route when a woman came sprinting down the sidewalk and crashed right into him. Strangely, the force was enough to send them both toppling to the ground, and his head spun with sudden dizziness.
“Are you alright?” he asked while trying to blink away the spots in his vision.
The woman gasped, shoved him, and bolted away.
“Hey—” Something moved in his lap, and when he glanced down, there was an infant there. The baby was completely bare, nothing covering them whatsoever.
“Hey,” he said again, more urgent than the first time. Quickly, he scooped the baby up and wrapped them in his cape as he chased after the woman. “Stop!”

Or, after bumping into a woman on patrol, Deku's life is changed forever. Bakugou's out of town, and Deku has to figure out how to break the news to him.

Summary
Katsuki is still grabbing the steering wheel like he’s very tempted to drive away from there. His knuckles are slightly white, perhaps because the grip of the wheel has tightened considerably.
“Izuku, this is not a safe place.” He’s deadly serious, and by the tone in his voice, it seems like he’s about to snap, but he’s trying to control himself.
“I can take care of myself,” he hears himself saying, slightly irritated. Katsuki is not the only stubborn person in that car.
“Alright…” Katsuki doesn’t deny it, but Izuku can tell that he doesn’t like the situation at all. “If you want to save for your new apartment, perhaps you can live with me in the meantime. You’ll save even more money because you won’t have to pay rent anymore.”
