The golden lamps of the royal dining hall cast a warm, amber glow over the table, but the atmosphere in the corridors of Erebor was far from peaceful. For months, a low-level murmur of dissent had been brewing in the darker corners of the mountain. Most of the kingdom adored their Hobbit Consort, the "Luck-wearer" who had helped reclaim their home. But one particular nobleman, Lord Bruni, a traditionalist with a heart as cold as the stone he mined, could not stand the sight of a Halfling wearing a crown of Mithril. To him, Bilbo Baggins was a soft, power-hungry intruder who had bewitched the King.

Summary
Book 1 of the series.
Bad at summaries, but this is basically a canon rewrite where Arthur knows about Merlins magic from episode 1 and this particular book is only season 1.
Arthur wants to be the protective, scary boyfriend that everyone fears, but that is actually Merlin. Arthur is very quick to be intrigued, but Merlin wants nothing to do with him, which does change.
Merlin is trying to rewrite destiny and change the route, not the outcome, which basically wages a war against the Gods and Fates. He soon learns that Arthur Pendragon isn’t just a prince, or his other part of destiny. He was something other, something rare.
Merlin is Arthur's anchor of self-restraint, a light in his life, much like how I imagine Ygraine was for Uther.

Summary
Stiles never thought fairies would be his down fall. Now Stiles is kind of forced to “haunt” his friends and Derek is the only one who refuses to let them give up on him. It would be endearing if it wasn’t so sad.
It doesn’t help that people keep mysteriously drowning either. Turns out Stiles can actually feel more useless.
