So many things suddenly made sense - why Rumi had always insisted on a private dressing room for herself. Why she never went to the bathhouse with them. Why she insisted on long sleeves always, even under the blazing heat of stage lights. Everything she’d just excused as Rumi being Rumi - so much of it had been her fear dictating her reality. Despite the joy of this moment, she was hit with an overwhelming wave of sadness for her friend. A warm pain starting at her stomach and rising up, into her chest and down her arms.

Summary
