Summary
In the early 20th century, superpowers called "Helices" emerged, creating massive social change and leading to the birth of superheroes. They were shortly thereafter followed by the discovery of Magic, Qi, Soul Arts and Psionics, each with their own dedicated communities. These powers led to unimaginable technological advances; within decades, faster-than-light travel and interstellar politics became the norm.
But the galaxy is not at peace. Hundreds of years and dozens of wars later, the Republic and the United Galactic Federation are fighting a losing battle against the Galactic Empire, whose Inquisitors and spies lurk around every corner. Pirates, villains, dark wizards and terrorists have ravaged the galaxy's Outer Ring. Demons and interdimensional beings threaten to breach into the mortal plane.
Nat Dachis and his three friends Jace Tenor, Julia Tenor, and Reggie Goldbloom hope to become superheroes. Their fate seems tied to Thessa Vecent, a reclusive scavenger from across the galaxy, and their ambitions lead them on an epic journey across the Milky Way. As they investigate an emerging group of supervillains, they become increasingly aware of a threat to the galaxy bigger than anyone can imagine.
