Jeritza turned then, with a slow, quiet grace. His boots made no sound against the ancient stone floor. When his eyes found hers, it was like staring into a forge just before the flame ignited. It seemed cold, but full of a waiting heat. Bernadetta’s breath caught as if the intensity alone had drawn it from her lungs.
“That is good,” he said simply. “Fear keeps people honest.”

A self-insert in which my friend and I are put into the Divergent universe and follow the plot of the books whether we want to or not.
The writing mirrors the books as closely as possible in terms of format. The plot does not change, but there's some character study kind of stuff with the less explored characters. I will go back and proof read once I've finished the series and feel like rereading it.If I have continuity or plot errors, they will be fixed once I complete the series and do a full proof read.
