Summary
So someone was draining all the money to be made in the Conomi Islands and with the price they were asking for the crossing (let alone the price of doing business in the aera) Biri knew she was in trouble. Her travelling restaurant had nowhere near the cash for any of that.
There seemed to be only one rational option left: go straight to the money, sail to this Arlong Park place and hope they were interested in hiring a cook for a few months.
