There, she meets the local celebrity heartthrob, detective prince Goro Akechi in a downpour during her first day of school. Unfortunately, the meet-cute missed the memo and shortly after she ends up inside of a castle in place of her school where she's sexually assaulted by her gym teacher.

    After escaping with Akechi's help, it's made clear that Akechi knows what's going on in the other world and how to navigate it. He offers her a deal: he'll kill Kamoshida for her, but next time she has to kill someone without his help. If she agrees and follows though, they're partners until the bitter end.
