Lightning flashes, and for a split second, I see movement two rooftops away—black cape, glint of armor, eyes that glow faint white. He’s been following me for three nights now. Always just out of reach. Always watching.
I sigh. “Guess it’s time to say hi.”
I go intangible, drop through three floors of decrepit tenement, and reappear on the opposite roof—solid, visible, glowing faintly blue in the downpour.
“Okay, Batsy,” I mutter. “Let’s see what you’ve got.”

“It was crunchy! You were walking around like someone duct taped you back in with rage magic! I just popped it back in place!”
Jason stares. “You just ‘popped’ my SOUL back?!”
“I mean… yeah?”
