Summary
Melisandre, The Red Woman, Priestess of the Lord of Light, is four hundred years old. She knows Ashford Meadows isn't supposed to happen. The world heaved and cried in pain when Baelor Breakspear died in the arms of a hedge knight. Everything is wrong, but Melisandre isn't without power. A dream message to her younger self, avert disaster.
Lord Ashford nearly has a heart attack when it happens. His daughter screams and faints dead away. The alarm goes up, and nobody quite knows what to do, considering Baelor Breakspear Targaryen is standing on the threshold of Ashford Castle, looking as though he’s been dragged through the Seven Hells. This is the day of his funeral. Has his ghost come back to haunt the living?
