Summary
It's a known fact: Buckleys run. He ran from medicine once. Now he's running again — from the 118, from everything he screwed up. There's nothing left for him in LA except Maddie. So he does what Buckleys do. He runs. Back to medicine, but not in a hospital. In a war zone. With MSF.

Summary
Bobby died and Eddie left. Bobby died and Eddie left. It was like those words repeated in his mind over and over. Nothing was the same any longer. The thought of working at the 118 made Buck feel like his chest was caving in and he couldn’t breathe. Sure Hen, Ravi and Chim were there but the feeling of home was gone. Buck didn’t even know if he wanted to be a fire fighter anymore. He didn’t feel the joy or purpose any longer. The fire had burned out, no pun intended.
Or
What if Bobby really did die and Eddie did leave to go back to El Paso? What does Buck do when everyone leaves??? He packs up and runs away only to come back 3 years later. A changed man with a daughter. Will he and Eddie be able to figure their shit out and finally get their happy ending? Of course they will because this is my story and only HEA's are allowed. Though the first chapter is pretty sad so you are warned.

Summary
Come·up·pance
noun
: A punishment or fate that someone deserves
: A deserved rebuke or penaltyI hate the Diaz parents so much. I want them (especially Helena) to hurt! I I want them to get their due. I believe neither the Buckley nor Diaz parents deserve any sort of redemption arc. And if they are given one, it should be after a LOT of genuine groveling.
I want to luxuriate in paragraph after paragraph of their pain. I need whole chapters…or even better an entire story…where they drown in isolation, discomfort, and the repercussions of their abuse and treatment of Eddie and Chris.
This is that. Enjoy their Comeuppance.

Summary
There were no hard and fast rules when it came to soulmarks, but there were a few generally accepted principles:
1. The marks are echoes of your soulmate’s first waking thoughts, usually in their native language.
2. The marks last anywhere from a few hours to a full day, depending on the intensity of emotion.
3. They appear sporadically, not every first thought is focused enough to appear as a mark.
4. They appear on your body the moment your soulmate wakes, regardless of time zone.
5. It’s rude to examine or comment on someone else’s marks
6. Evan “Buck” Buckley doesn’t have a soulmate.
Okay, maybe that last one was known only to two people, Buck himself and his sister Maddie, and Maddie refused to agree with him on this matter. Buck maintained however, that 28 years was plenty long enough to wait for an echo of his own without finally l accepting that, clearly, he was one of those unlucky few who didn’t get a soulmate. Sure, not everyone found their person- their echo, but most people at least got marks that gave them hope that their soulmate was out there somewhere. Not Buck, though. No, Buck was obviously meant to be alone forever. Or at least between hookups.
