The house has taken another victim.
It had been months since the house was last active, seemingly having laid dormant. Or maybe what he had seen years ago had been but a dream and the house was never even alive.
The screams of a child running away in apparent terror tell a different story now.
The tricycle of the poor unsuspecting victim remains on the sidewalk, patiently waiting for its owner to come and play with it once more.
It will remain there, alone.
There are leaves stuck to it already.
The house is active once again, soon it will no longer be content on scaring its victims. Soon it will start demanding the taste of something else, something more.
The tricycle is gone.

Lan Sizhui did not wish for his father to be bound by eternal mourning— no, such a desire would be both horrendously selfish and terribly unfilial. Yet, he had never once conceived of his father's grief as something with an end, something that could be cast aside. The very notion of his mother's memory fading away, left only to the bad-mouther's and the tides of time, was unthinkable.
Where, then, had those years gone? The years in which his precious ā-die had taught him to play inquiry, the music reverberating within the Jingshi as they called upon a spirit so deeply cherished they could not bear to remain silent?

Summary
Her husband is not subtle, but no one ever suspects him of the truth. Yu Ziyuan narrows her eyes as she watches him wrap his arms around Wei Wuxian to show him the proper way to hold a bow and arrow, ignoring how the boy's form was perfect and that Wanyin's form needs fixing. Yet, he ignores his son's desperately wide eyes to focus on the brat. She's the only one who sees how her husband's touch dips a little too low. She's the only one who sees how Wei Wuxian's arms shake as he struggles to ignore the touch.
She wonders if the boy likes being fucked by her husband or if he merely suffers through it.
