It was barely ten in the morning when she caught sight of it from across the office floor Kazuha standing at the copy machine, shoulders slightly hunched, nodding far too eagerly as one of the marketing girls laughed at something she’d said.
Kazuha’s tie was crooked again.
And worse she was smiling. That soft, helpless smile she wore when she was being spoken to gently, encouragingly, like a stray someone had decided to pet.
Chaewon’s pen stopped mid scratch.

Summary
Chaewon is so caught up in her thoughts that she fails to notice her sitting down until she takes her own seat near the professor’s desk and looks up.
“Her” being Kazuha. As in, the Kazuha she had slept with last night, the one who she had no intention of ever seeing again (apparently, the universe is a real dick and had other plans).
