Summary
No one knew that the new nurse at The Pitt already knew the Shark—not the version people warned each other about, not the one defined by reputation and distance. She knew the man behind it—the one who remembered her coffee order, who steadied her before she could fall apart, who only ever let his bite show when it mattered. And no one knew that she had never feared it, not once.

Summary
“One,” his jaw sounded like it was cracking as he clenched it, “I told you not to worry about me. If I have a problem, I’ll tell you. Two, you shouldn’t be dealing with this alone.”
“It’s just my period - “
“Its clearly not just a period.”
“Okay so it’s fucking not.” She snapped, tears burning in her eyes and spilling like trails of lava. She was an ugly crier, her nose turned red, snot ran clear down her nostrils and to her lips which always swelled. “It’s fucking not, you think I don’t know that?”

Summary
Dr. Abbot glanced up when she passed.
“Your friend is in the family room, Dr. Mohan,” he said in the same conversational tone.
Samira stopped mid-stride. Her brain stalled. She couldn’t decide it was from the fact that Dev was here or how she got heart palpitation just from hearing Dr. Abbot’s voice.
“He’s a good man,” he added. “Well done.”
“What?”
or
Samira Mohan can't get rid Dr. Abbot from her mind.

Summary
Dr. Abbot nodded again. “Dr. Al-Hashimi is great.”
“Yeah,” she nodded, mimicking him. “She really is.”
“I like her.”
Samira froze. Not visibly. Hopefully not visibly. But something in her brain stuttered like a skipped frame in a video.
He like her?
Her mind immediately took that statement and ran with it in the worst possible direction. Like… like her? As in romantically? Or sexually? Why would that even be the first place her brain goes?
or
Samira Mohan may or may not get jealous.
