“So,” Liam rolled his eyes as soon as he heard Theo’s drawl. “Good fuck last night?” There was a tension in the words Liam didn’t recognise but he put his best smarmy smirk on as he turned to talk to the older driver.
“Mmm,” he hummed, eyes gazing heavenward as if reminiscing. “As if you couldn’t tell by her more than satisfied smirk at breakfast.” Liam grinned as Theo’s cocky expression wavered.
“I…” but Theo trailed off and Liam rolled his eyes.
“See you in two weeks, Raeken.” His voice was gruff and he barrelled into Theo’s shoulder as he pushed past to get to the elevator.
“Argh fuck it.” His ears registered the whisper behind him, the footsteps picking up speed and then the warm, warm hand on his shoulder as he was pulled back and around to face Theo once more.
“What,” Theo paused, eyes unsure as they flitted between Liam’s own. The sea glass green more of a forest deep colour in the artificial light of the garage. “What happened to- to us?”or Theo and Liam used to be teammates before Theo got a contract with Alpine and left... what happens when a couple races into the 2023 season, they... reconnect?

It's the... what the fuck?
The toxin's never been like this before. It creates hallucinations and triggers the fear receptors in your brain but it doesn't shove you into your worst memories and makes you feel like you are actually in there. Like you're actually living through it again.
The pain, the fear... they were as sharp as when he actually suffered it.

Tim thinks Jason is immune to fear toxin, so the best (and only) plan they have to combat Scarecrow's new formula is to test it on him and get an antidote ASAP.
Jason might've been bluffing when he said that the poison didn't affect him - but he'll be damned if he lets Barman see him scared. Again.
So he accepts.
