Summary
Left behind at the Misty Palms Oasis, Katara waits days for Aang, Sokka, and Toph to return. But when bounty hunters close in, her only chance at escape comes from the last people she ever thought she could trust: Zuko and Iroh.
Now traveling under false names, bound by a fake marriage, and with no room for mistakes, Katara finds herself on the road to Ba Sing Se. What begins as mutual distrust slowly turns into eating side by side, sleeping even closer, and something far more dangerous: comfort. She thinks it will end once they reach the city, but in a place crowded with millions of refugees, and stuck in the Lower Ring, she doesn’t have much hope of finding the others. With no leads and nowhere else to go, she resolves to wait for her friends to find her.
But in their cramped apartment, days turn into weeks, and Zuko and Katara begin to settle into something that almost feels like domestic bliss. It isn’t real. Or at least, it isn’t meant to be. But the longer they stay, the harder it becomes to remember where the act ends and something real begins.

Marinette recently moved to Gotham. When she introduces herself to her neighbors, she meets Jason who lives in the apartment directly above hers. He appears to be nice and Marinette would have even said that he was a good neighbor weren't it for his shoes that made way too loud sounds far too late at night, often costing Marinette her sleep.
