"What do you want?" Charles asked, trying to sound as neutral about it as possible. He was desperate, and he could only hope that it wasn't too obvious to the demon that he could ask for literally anything.
He wasn’t sure if he was fooling anyone.
“Just a little of your time,” the demon said, almost sounding innocent. “Oh, and your complete obedience during that time,” he added, and Charles swallowed.
This was a bad idea, probably the worst idea Charles ever had, living or dead, but what choice did he have? If he had another way, he wouldn’t be here in the first place, and the demon probably knew that.
