I always questioned my mortality. Not in a weird way or anything, just thinking about it sends shivers down my spine.

It’s always at the worst times too, or at least what I think as the worst times. When the sun fades far in the distance, the melting heat simmering down to a deathly chill across the dried ground. When the starved dogs came out the woods, burned strained bodies lugging against the cracked ground. Digging only to feed on the dried husks of creatures unlucky enough to have been out in the direct sunlight during the day.

Sometimes I wonder if I should go outside during the day, even just to feel the dry air on my skin once again.

More to be added but this is the basic premise:

Elliot had managed to fall for his least favorite person in the whole world. Or well, this world at least.

    007n7.

It's name itself used to strike anger in Elliot alone. But now he's getting mixed feelings. Feelings that the hacker himself was also avoiding.

I’ve always been a little excited when thinking about puppet shows, the concept had always been intriguing to me. The way the puppeteers controlled the puppet with such ease and brought the puppet to life was so convincing that I sometimes forgot it was a puppet other than the felt or porcelain coating the puppet. It’s even more difficult to break the illusion without being reminded that it was just a puppet in a show when the puppet was human, or at least based off of a real human.

    Summary

I never really liked the dark, nor taking walks too much. To me it always was difficult. Making schedules for my own benefit always seemed like a waste of time I could use somewhere else. If I knew what somewhere was exactly though.

And besides, I've never had the best back, so I admittedly don’t run or work out too often, sometimes I look in the mirror and stare at the thing I remember someone calling my sanctuary, the only thing I could truly ever know.

Yet I remember that night very faintly, like a distant memory that just couldn’t be real. I wish it couldn’t be real, but the thought of it was always gnawing at me no matter how much I tried to resist it. Like that nagging memory of something embarrassing that happened yet it was so long ago it’s difficult to remember it completely. Or an insistent stabbing feeling in your back...

    Summary

"Would you rather live without your phone for a day, or no people for a day?" A teacher asked her class, and one student already had an answer to the seemingly simple question.

When their hand was the first to go up, the teacher called on them, "No people, as I'm not too much of a people person, and I don't have a phone either so I'd be fine either way." The student stated with confidence in their tone, yet before the teacher could even respond the world suddenly went dark.
