“We’re on a first-name basis, are we? To some that could be considered quite familiar,” replied Garak nonchalantly.
Julian’s face grew hot. “We eat lunch together almost every week unless something comes up. I think we’re past familiarity.”
“Perhaps. But, my dear Doctor...” Garak smiled at him as his voice trailed off. “What did your Shakespeare say? ‘A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.’ I don’t believe names or labels are necessary. They change nothing.”
