Bartosch met his glower with defiance. “Every damn day.” Hans noticed with unease he was holding his chest and there was fresh red blooming on the bandages. “But I’ve made my peace with it. And if you have any sense in your head, so should you.”
Hans backhanded him. “Don’t presume to know me.”

After a drunken night in the bathhouse fumbling with the blacksmith’s boy, Hans Capon resolves to keep his hands to himself. But then a suave knight (and better poet) had to catch the eye of Bohemia’s favorite hero and suddenly Hans finds himself struggling to not repeat the sins of the past.

“I have an idea.” Hans said it slowly, a little nervously, one finger trailing down Henry’s shoulder toward his bicep. Henry shivered. “Something for us to try now that we’ve got time and privacy.”
“Alright.”
“Alright?” Hans’s eyes snapped from Henry’s arm to his face. “You’re not going to ask me what it is?”
Henry had never been shy about experimenting in bed, but Hans didn’t know that about him yet. He knew almost nothing of Henry in bed, and Henry, sitting on the edge of said bed with his hands currently gracing Hans’s bare thighs, was eager to rectify this. Had been eager to rectify this, trying to speed them along as Hans dragged his still-stockinged feet.
“I’m at your service, my lord.”

"Do you not like kissing?" he asked meekly, and Henry snorted. "Don't laugh at me! You're the one being—why'd you—?" His eyes fluttered closed as Henry leaned up, pushing his tongue between his lips and eating whatever fretful thing he'd been about to say. His hand jumped from his arms to his hair, deepening their kiss until Hans was hard against his thigh and chasing the barest change in friction. When they parted, a line of spit joined their wet lips. "Henry," he gasped, and let himself be turned, pushed towards his bed as his head drifted in a delirious nod, a wordless plea for more. He stared up, his face...soft. Open.
"I like kissing."
"What?"
"You asked if I liked kissing," he said, shivering to see Hans underneath of him. "I do."
