En un hecho extraño del universo, Gamma Jack —Jackson Larson— se encuentra en un mundo que cambio, pero no del todo. Con la sensación de que algo malo está por suceder, y aun no sucede. Sigue siendo él mismo, con su brillante aura de héroe dorado, pero se encuentra marchitándose por dentro ante una verdad interior que le molesta.
