And then Stiles shivers, and his heart thuds so hard in his chest that he winces. The wind picks up in the alley, and Stiles heart skips again, slamming back into action two-three beats late. Derek reaches out to steady him as he doubles over, and he's cold. His jacket feels cold to touch, and there's something there - something forming over his back, and the light from the street catches them just right that they look like chain links.
Stiles is hiding something, and Derek is distraught trying to understand why Stiles won't tell him.
